JoomLMS 1.3.3 release is here, however, the development process doesn’t stop and we continue working on adding new features, fixing appearing issues and preparing up to date releases.
Today we decided to present JoomLMS RoadMap and let you know what is coming next!
Have a look!

New Conferencing Module

As was mentioned in JoomLMS 1.3.2 release, we are reworking our conferencing module. In the next JoomLMS 1.3.4 release that is coming in July-August, GoToMeeting conferencing module integration will be added! WebEx compatibility is coming later this year. You will not only be able to host conferences, but schedule, let others present using "Change Presenter" feature and see everyone face-to-face.

Mobile Application for JoomLMS

JoomLMS mobile application is under development and will be introduced later this year as well. The application will be iOS and Android compatible and will bring more flexibility for students. They will be able to check all updates on their studies on the go. While responsive JoomLMS template will assure correct content display.

Kunena forum integration

We are considering switching forum platform: from SMF to Joomla-native communication platform Kunena. Its main advantage is possibility to create nested categories and direct website integration without any third party tools. The changes are more likely to be applied in the beginning of 2015.

TinCan API compatibility

To enhance JoomLMS compatibility with eLearning standards we are planning to introduce TinCan API support. The integration will allow students to learn from a variety of experiences and enable measuring learning activities that are outside traditional eLearning environment such as attending conferences, webinars, taking part in a discussion board or chatting in social networks. TinCan API connects all the devices and captures more of a learning experience than SCORM. The integration will be introduced in 2015.

By the way, we are always open for any suggestions and ideas. Feel free to use our suggestion board to leave your recommendations and feedback. No comments will stay unnoticed.

Best Regards,
The JoomLMS development team
