10. Slide Manager

With the help of the Slide Manager you can manage the properties of each slide in the presentation, particularly PowerPoint Slide Title, Title for Publishing, Level, Presenter and Playlist.

To open Slide Manager:

1. Navigate to MS PowerPoint, then open the PowerPoint Force menu.

2. Select Slide Manager from the PowerPoint Force menu.

3. The following window will be opened where you will be able to make changes:

Field

Description

Title for Publishing

The default is [no title]. To change it highlight the default and input the slide’s title. It’s not recommended to use very long titles.

Level

With the help of this option you can create a high-level slide structure. To edit a level, click the field corresponding to a slide. Therewill appear buttonsPlus (if there is a possibility to expand) andMinus (if there is a possibility to roll up).Availablelevelswillincreaseby 1 eachtimeyouaddanewlevel. For example, when you first assign levels to a presentation, you will only have two options: level 1 or 2 (your first slide must be level 1). Once you've assigned level 2 to any slide, you can assign subsequent slides to level 3, and so on.

Presenter

Each slide can be associated with a certain presenter. To choose from the available presenters click the corresponding field and select the necessary presenter's namefrom the drop-down box. Presenters can be managed in the Library.

Playlist

Each slide can be associated with a certain playlist. To choosefrom the available playlists click the field and select the necessaryplaylist's namefrom the drop-down box. Playlists can be managed in the Library.

Advance to the next slide

Use this option to determine whether the slide should automatically advance to the next slide. Click the field and choose the preferred option:

Select animations and narration if you want the slide to advance after all the animations and narration assigned to it.

Select time and set the period when the slides will be changed. By default time is set in min: sec, though if you’d like you can type in the hours (hours: min: sec), or you can leave the seconds only. Check the box On Mouse Click if you want the slide to advance on mouse click; otherwise leavethis field blank.
