12. Template Builder

Template Builder is a tool for customizing PowerPoint Force. With its help you’re provided with an easy way to set andconfigure player’s options.

To manage Template Builder:

1. Navigate to MS PowerPoint, then open the PowerPoint Force menu.

2. Select Template Builder from the PowerPoint Force menu.

3. There is a standard template in the templates’ list, you can’t modify or delete it:

To add a new template to the list, press the New button, enter its name and click Ok. After doing that you’ll see it on the list and will be able to highlight it and modify its properties as described in the following table:

View modes

The default is user can switch view. The player always begins the presentation in standard view (when this display mode is on, all player elements are visible, unless explicitlyturned off), a user can switch between standard and full mode with the help of the button in the right bottom corner (when this display mode is on, the only item that is visible is the PowerPoint slide).

You can disable mode switching by setting use only standard mode or use only full mode.

Controls

The section allows you to choose what kind of elements should be shown or hidden in the control panel. The choices are volume control, navigation buttons and display seekbar. If you want them to be displayed check the box next to a corresponding element; otherwise leave the box blank.

Navigation

The default is user can view slides in any order.

If you choose user cannot change slides, a user will not be able to change slides using the menu.

Checks the box if you want to loop the presentation; if you don’t want, then leave the box blank.

Panels

You can choose either to hide or display different panels. The choices are logo, presenter panel, bio and email, and control panel. If you want them to be displayed check the box next to a corresponding element; otherwise leave the box blank.

Color Scheme

To choose a color scheme for your template open Color schemes editor by clicking the button. You will see a standard scheme in the list that you can’t modify or delete. To add a new scheme press the New button, enter its name and press Ok. After doing that you can edit its colors by clicking the color buttons:

Text labels file

To choose text labels for your template click the button. You will see a standard file in the list that you can’t modify or delete. To add a new file press the New button, enter its name and press Ok. After doing that you can edit text labels by highlighting them and inputting the new ones.
