4.1 Inserting a Web Object

To add a Web Object, do the following:

2. Click Insert, and then select Web Object:

3. In the open form, set the needed options, or leave the default ones:

Step

File

Click the Browse () button, and in the dialog box provide the path to the external (i.e. already published on Web) or local Web page or type it in manually.

Show with delay from the beginning

If you want your web object to be displayed with delay, select the corresponding check box and set the delay time in seconds; otherwise leave the box clear (the object will be displayed automatically when the slide opens). This option is off for PowerPoint.

View

There are two viewing options:

Standard – the web object will be displayed in presentation.

In new browser window - a new window will be opened independently from the slide and the web object will be displayed in that new window. If you choose this option, a Web Object will not be inserted in the top left-hand corner of the slide, but a Web icon will be. You can drag this icon anywhere within the slide. The icon is for your reference: just to indicate that a Web Object has been inserted. It will not appear in the player when the presentation is published.

Size

The default is the Full Slide (Full Screen) option. Later on you can change the dimensions of the web object and its position the same way it can be done with the other slide objects (if the option In new browser window view is on).

If you want to change the dimensions of the web object in percents, select the In percents radio button, and then set them using the corresponding boxes.

If you want to change the dimensions of the web object in pixels, select the In pixels radio button, and then set them using the corresponding boxes.

4. Click Ok to add the created Web object into the presentation.
