my course management list is empty and there is no new course button. Furthermore when I switch the is JoomlaLMS offline to "no". It does not save and switches back to yes
Which version of the JoomlaLMS you are uses?
Try to reinstall the component and read 'First Steps' section from Installation.pdf located in the JoomlaLMS package.

Hi Den, I am using 1.0.5 build 20080818, just downloaded. joomla 1.5 legacy. I have reinstalled, but no result
Have you got any Javascript errors on the page?
What is happened after clicking 'Save' under the JoomlaLMS configuration (is it page reloaded)?
Have you used any other Joomla elearning components (like Joomlearn LMS)?
Which browser you are uses?

no javascript errors. I had a joomlalms installed earlier, but de-installed it. browsers: safari, explorer, chrome. both on mac and pc. when i click save: the page does not reload.
Try to enter your BackEnd with 'www.' prefix before domain name and without it - and test the configuraton page in both situations.
Also you can provide Administrator access for me via PM and i will check an issue.
Hello,
There are no any issues under WindowsXP using FF3, IE7.
But I have encountered the same problem using Safari and Chrome.
Currently there is only one way to avoid this bug:
Disable WYSIWYG editor for your administrator user (under your user profile).
This is not a regular problem and it is appeared only on some hosts. We will try to fix an issue in our future versions.

Den,
I have reinstalled using IE7 on PC. Getting still the same: empty course list and no "new course" button.
Are you able to save JoomlaLMS configuration?
Check 'First Steps' under the Installation.pdf from the JoomlaLMS package, in this docuemnts you can learn how to create teacher and courses.

Seems to be working now, thanks a lot. Don't know what I did wrong but I can go ahead now.
Would have been nice to know what you did ;-) as I am struggling with the same problem as you did, a blank page when trying to create a new course. I am using J!1.5.9, the Teline II template from Joomlart and IE7.
Anyone got any idea?
Cheers,
Kaj
a blank page when trying to create a new course
1) What is the version of JoomlaLMS installed? Please go to your administration area -> Components -> JoomlaLMS -> About JoomlaLMS "and post 'Installed version:' information here
2) Do you see a blank page after clicking 'new course' button or after clicking 'save' button?
3) Try to locate your PHP error logs and post latest error messages here.
I have the same problem - new installation of trial on Joomla 1.5.8 - new platform.
This is as before in previous trial attempts.
I am using a Mac OSX platform as browser, Safari and Firefox.
Whats up?
Should I be at least seeing some sample data?

One potential clue. My Joomla configuration page says the following directories are potential problem...
SCORMs folder/ ! Unaccessible !
Backups folder/ ! Unaccessible !
Documents folder/ ! Unaccessible !
Certificates folder/ ! Unaccessible !
Temporary folder/ ! Unaccessible !

When you installed Joomla you didn't give write access to the folders that need write access.
Check this is you Joomla setup (backend -> help -> systeminfo -> folders)
I have no idea, how to change the cmod on a Mac, but it should be simple.... ;)
Hope, it's not a different problem!
Open BackEnd JoomlaLMS configuration -> tab 'files' and check all the paths/folders listed here. Paths to these folders should exist on your server and should be writable.
If you can't fix the problem yourself, please submit a ticket here: http://www.elearningforce.biz/helpdesk/ticket_submit.php?dep=7 by providing url of your site, SuperAdministrator access and FTP access.
Should I be at least seeing some sample data?
There is no any preinstalled sample/demo data in JoomlaLMS component. Follow 'First steps' article instructions from the Instatllation.pdf file located in the JoomlaLMS package.

Hi, I´m using the trial version of Joomla LMS with Joomla 1.5.10
When I try to create a course I fill all the information about it, and just after I click the Save button, the screen goes blank and nothing happens. No course is created.
Any clues?
Which JoomlaLMS trial version you use? 1.0.5 or 1.0.6?
In JoomlaLMS 1.0.5 there are no such problems. JoomlaLMS 1.0.6 is in the beta stage, but we haven't encountered such problems before (to solve the problem we need to look at your site and examine it). Can you provide access to your site to look at the problem? Joomla SuperAdministrator and FTP - please submit it to our helpdesk (also please give a link to this thread).

I have the same problem. I have installed the latest trial version 1.0.6 on Joomla 1.5.15 but when I try to create a new course on the FrontEnd and click Save, I get a blank screen...
Any and all help appreciated.

Most probably this is ‘PHP memory limitation’ issue, seems like there is not enough memory allocated for PHP to process the page. We recommend configuring ‘memory_limit’ to 64M to avoid any problems.
In general, JoomlaLMS doesn't need much memory, in fact it can work on ‘16M’ machines, but if you run it on a live site with a lot of other Joomla extensions and a lot of other PHP extensions installed on your server, this can cause memory problems.

If you installed JoomlaLMS 1.0.6 or 1.0.7 and when trying to create a course you get blank page, please run Check database in the Maintenance section of the Joomla Back-end.
