Hi you guys!

This is a great product! I only have one suggestion that would help me and hopefully a lot more people too.

I would like to be able to include .flv videos in documents.
Maybe there is a way already, just that I don't know how to do it... Maybe use mambots?

Regards,

Mats

Yes, that would be nice.. but since mambots doesn't seem to work in documents that I create in JoomlaLMS how can I do that?

Content mambots doesn't work with JoomlaLMS component for security reasons. In the near future we research this feature...

Do you know when using Joomla mambots OR other solution for using video in courses can be available? All of my courses include video, so I really can't use this excellent product until that is available.

Best regards,

Mats

In the meantime you can use SCORM-packages.

I'm using the Brightcove (http://www.brightcove.com) platform for my video management. It's been really great and none of the bandwidth issues. Easy to upload files AND to allow consumers/students to upload video to your account. You can select to restrict the video to your domain or make media available through their network.

They allow you to completely customize the look of the players and the way the media line ups playback. The HTML embed codes can go into any content page. They have an open API for those seeking to program custom video apps. We will be using this service for video in our forthcoming classes. They have an ad sponsored service that is free to use, as well as fee-based services.

Here's one of my players on our Joomla site. http://www.urbanartsclub.com.

We have also successfully used videoaddon.com and hipcast.com for video blogging services that provide similar options. However, both of the latter also offer webcam recording in browser.

There are many companies offering these services. Unmetered hosting media plans like these make monthly expense forecasting much simpler.

We'd love to hear recommendations for other reputable providers.

So, how do I put a QUICKTime Movie in a Learning path then? I can place the mambot in a normal content page, just doesn't seem to work in a Learning Path page??

Can you provide more details about which mambot you are uses? Maybe we will implement compatibility with it in the upcoming version.

Den,
I was looking for tabs module to put on the homepage of the course. I found a tab module that is pretty nice, it also has an accordian function.

Tabs & Slides(in content items) I want to use this in the course homepage. The module version isnīt enough. I really need the in content items version.
AllVideos to show any type of media, videos, audio, etc.

I assume since they are built by the same group http://www.joomlaworks.gr/, it may be easier to get them to work with JoomlaLMS.

I can think of a lot of uses for the accordian function in showing and hiding pictures and and definitions from a learning perspective.

I hope to see these supported soon.

All JoomlaLMS packages was updated at 27 May again.
So, now you can use Tabs & Slides(in content items) mambot on the course homepage (and on other pages instead of any page within the quiz or LPath).

AllVideos is worked in the JoomlaLMS on any page, even within the LPaths. - It is actually for 1st versions of AllVideos (i.e. version 2.4. for Joomla 1.0.x), i can't say anything about AllVideos reloaded plugin, which wasn't be enough tested yet.
