Can you please explain who the licensing works? When I reach the max. number of users for my license, are new students unable to sign-up? Do I receive a notification as I approach my max.? Can I upgrade the license immediately? The same question if we sign-up for your flash conference service, do we receive bandwidth notifications as we approach out limit?

The last thing we want is to begin a heavy promotions campaign and then be unable to register new students. Or, even worse, have student enrolled who are unable to access their classes.

Thanks again for your feedback!

if you reach max. number of users for your license then new students will be unable to sign-up, teachers will be unable to add new learners to courses and administrators will be unable to add new learners to LMS. All former users will work in LMS as before. If you will try to add some users manually via DB-manager, LMS will become blocked.

If you want to upgrade your license immediately please contact support.

You will not receive any notification when your license expires.

Hi Den,
Thanks for your speedy replies to my posts. With this arrangement, how can we offer our site members free trial or guests courses, prior to enrolling in a full course? Say a site has 10,000 non-paying members (how nice it would be :), but is seeking to offer workshops to 50-100 paying members at a time. Yet, they would like to offer all members an opportunity to experience a trial membership or preview lesson?

Also, what if they experience the benefits of say a great blog review or some press that sends a surge of new students seeking to enroll? Seems there would be lost sales.

It would be great if there was some sort of transparent que that could let students register but not allow them to be fully enrolled unless the proper licensing level was paid.

I appreciate your feedback.

Maxie

Guest can only view course description.
Subscription system in our LMS has different types of subscriptions: for time-period, for one or several courses,... But all subscriptions are paid only.
Please try our trial and test subscriptions system.
Administrator Documentation will come out in a few days.

Just to get some more info on this:
How can one know how many members have registered and how many more left to register?

I mean, say 100 users and 85 have registered. Does LMS say that dynamic figures in configuration or some place?

thank you,

drb

EDIT: Sorry found the information. Stupid to ask. I guess it was added in 103 v.
