I am currently producing a course using Camtasia to record my screen with audio narrations, then exporting the result to a flash file. Nearly all of my course content is flash video.
Will the Joomla LMS support the use of flash videos at 1024x768 resolution as lesson content in a learning path?
You can change the default width/height for FLV to the necessary values in our source code, in file components\com_joomla_lms\includes\jlms_docs_proce ss.php
, lines: 110 - 111

Can that change be made in the Standard version?
Yes, this file is open for changes in Standard version as well.

That is good news. Is there a way that I can test uploading some of my content into an existing Joomla LMS installation and see how it looks when played back? It appears the only way to try Joomla is to have a hosted server set up and then do a full installation. That is a lot of expense and work.
You can use our demo installation http://www.joomlalms.com/lms-elearning-solutions.html to upload files, but it doesn't give you an access to the backend, and you won't be able to change the source code. If it's necessary for you to test it, please submit a ticket to our helpdesk (link in my signature) with a request for joomlalms test installation (also please give a link to this thread in the ticket).
