Is there a configuration file that will allow us to change the conference module size? It is currently overlapping our right column menu.
Additionally, are the conference colors configurable via CSS? And finally, were we supposed to upload the media server application somewhere or did the installer handle that?
Aside from these questions, the conference seems to be working well.

Just to add a question.... If I understand the configuration at the back end correctly, it would be possible to get other suppliers for the flash server (or in fact have my own flash server). Am I right or is this only a theoretical option?
Just curious!

Yoy are right. You can use any Flash media server.

Yoy can't change conference module size. This module builds on flash. Scaling of this module could carry into graphical noise.

No. We have only one conference style.

If you bought flash media server hosting please follow those steps:
1. Create new application with "jlms_app" name.
2. Upload out main.asc file to the new application folder.
3. That's all. Setup flash URL (in JoomlaLMS conference configuration) of your flash media server account and max.number of users, based on your plan.

Hi Den,
We are very, very happy with the features and operations of the conference. But we are disappointed about our inability to customize the colors to match the rest of our site, as we have labored to do with many other modules.
The LMS graphic takes a lot of screen real estate, I would rather have my own logo there or nothing. It really would be great to be able to take off the LMS logo and add our own logo, as well as change the colors. However, we can live with the stock conference module style for now.
But we can not live with it breaking our template and overlapping our menu. The conference module is the only one causing problems. The remainder of the LMS looks great, styled like the rest of our site.
Do you have any suggestions on how we can fix this, other than us modifying our entire site template design to accomodate this module? Also, you may want to specify the dimensions of the conference module on your systems requirements page, so that people can take this issue into consideration.

At the moment i see only one way: change sizes of swfs in joomla_lms.conference.html.php file.
But to avoid bugs, i do not recommend doing it.

Thanks. We will put this to LMS requirements.

Now that I have a fine-tuned version of your LMS up and running, I am feeling like a mad scientist who patched together a robot but can't get that final little, major piece to be exactly the way I envisioned.
I only need to reduce the width like 75 pixels and remove some of the padding at the heading (there is a lot of wasted space at the top in my template, students have to scroll down to see the webcam and whiteboards).
And finally, I really would like the module branded with my company logo. Can I have someone customize the flash files for me?
Or, is there any way to make the conference module come up in it's own pop up window, full-sized, overlayed on top of my site?
In fact, now that I think about it, just like the MAGAZINE component I bought from you. THAT would be a completely gratifying way to present my conferences, which constitute such a major part of our training programs.
To be honest, this is why I some thrilled about your product, I know it's only the early stages. :)
However, any reliable, short-term solutions would be greatly appreciated. I have a designer working on a cleaner version of my template, which I will use just for the conference page. But this is not my preferred method.
Thanks again.
Maxie
We don't provide any flash sources of the conference (you can't change size of flash files).
In that case you could change your template, or you could turn off side modules for LMS.
If your designer will change template, he/she could turn off side modules for LMS component ("$option = com_joomla_lms") only in conference module ("$task=conference").
I am in the process of deciding to buy your system,
Id really like to implement your solution- because it seams to fit what I need.
Great job guys!
I am a bit concerned though, over not having control over the conference module, as posted by another member. Ie: I too would like to have my own logo, and change the colors size etc.
If this would be an option, It would move me closer to a purchase decision.
Thanks for your help
Conference module is based on flash technology. We don't provide source for this solution. In that case you can't change any colors or images in conference module. But we plan to completely renew functionality and interface of conference module. One of plans is to make it configurable.

Hi Den,
Hope all is well.
We have been eagerly awaiting the improved conference module and we were disappointed to not see it listed as one of the features of the new release. Can you please provide an estimate of when it will be available?
We have experimented with other options offered by Influxis and other vendors however they all require custom programming for user authentication. We purchased this program to get away from having to customize all these elements for our community. We have been dealing with this a couple of months now and really need a solution.
Thanks!
Maxie

Conference module is under development.
1.0.2 release will be without this module.

Can we host the conference module ourselves given the slow Mbps if hosted in your country. Coz Im living in singapore.
Yes you can host confernce application by yourself. But a special hosting is needed (FlashMediaServer, the license for it is expensive and you can bough FMS hosting at anywhere at any provider.)
