Is it possible to use 3-rd party Flash media server to use your conference?
If you bought flash media server hosting please follow those steps:
1. Create new application with "jlms_app" name.
2. Upload out main.asc file to the new application folder.
3. That's all. Setup flash URL (in JoomlaLMS conference configuration) of your flash media server account and max.number of users, based on your plan.
Conference colors configurable via CSS?
No. We have only one conference style.
For the version 1.0.3 and higher conference styles are configurable

Can we use the white board to playback video files during a presentation? If so, what file formats?

We would like to record conference sessions to offer them in our archives. I have been experimenting with screen capture solutions but most seem to have dropouts with audio and video, while also using the conference program. Do you all have any suggestions on how we can go about doing this most efficiently?

You can use swf format.

This feature must be realized on the server-side (Flash media server). But we can't say how exactly it works at the moment.
Session recording is already realized in the version 1.0.3

Hi,
I have read this:

3. That's all. Setup flash URL (in JoomlaLMS conference configuration) of your flash media server account and max.number of users, based on your plan.
And have this question!
I have a version of Flash Communication server on my laptop, how do I put it on my server?
Or what do I need? and where can I get it?
What do you mean when you say "create a new application?
Where is the "main.asc' file?
Step 3 I think is simple.
Can anyone help? Please :)
PS. I have the trial version of LMS, and I have uploaded the jlms_apps folder but the conferece don't wanna work at present.

Here main.asc is for "Macromedia Flash Media Server" placed on Windows laptop:
c:\Program Files\Macromedia\Flash Media Server2\applications\jlms_app\main.asc.
Your url can be like this: rtmp://localhost/

Hi again thanks for the advice, but I still don't understand what a flash server account is? and how do I put it on my server so that everyone can use the conference rooms?
Bill
FMS account used for sharing stream resources between users (sound, video,...).
Flash server account provides for you rtmp url, which you can use to connect to FMS. In account settings you can setup access rights (setup referrers) to your account. Also you can setup access rights in application (main.asc) file, if you have programming skills.

The flash server is an extremely expensive and quite complicated program that usually would run on very fast servers at an ISP. What you probably have is an old developper version, which can be uploaded to an internet server (don't ask me how - I wouldn't know). If so, it very likely is fairly slow and limited in regards to bandwidth (and/or number of users).
Therefore I would recommend to test the JoomlaLMS without conference first. If you like it -- you will ;-) you can buy it either with the flash server option (using the flash server of elearningforce at a normal, moderate price) or without the flash server option from elearningforce. In that case you can use the flash server from a different provider at about the same price. Some providers have an option to book the flash server for 3 months, rather than a whole year. So if you want to test first - this might be a good idea!
