which forum script (ipb, vbulletin) do you suggest to install?
I would like it to be fully integrated with your LMS.

Thanks in advance

Obviously you can use SMF forum. Look at demo. Only SMF it fully integrated with JoomlaLMS. Configure your forum settings in Back-end (tab 'Plugins').

Hi,
I am considering purchasing your SMF/CB sync component. Will it allow my site users to login to my main site in the same manner as the LMS forums setting? If I install this component, will it conflict with the built-in LMS SMF forums bridge? Can I have them be on the same forums installation?

Appreciate the input....

Maxie

If your SMF - forum is used for LMS only then you don’t need SMFBridge component (from ElearningForce). The LMS-SMF bridge functionality is enough.

No, I want to expand the SMF Forums functionality beyond just my LMS users. I'd like all of my site users to be able to access in the same manner. Do you think there will be a problem if I install your SMF Bridge for my main site forums?

Yes, this will work. SMF forum for JoomlaLMS and this forum is installed on this site. JVB bridge and LMS bridge work together normally.

I installed official smf bridge from their site.
I didn't notice any problems, but LMS built-in bridge isn't working how I want, so I have one question, is there any possibility that I can manage forum icon, so it will link to any forum site I choose (for example: topic about course)?

We recommend using separate forum for LMS needs.

How forum works within of LMS:
Forum board is automatically created for each course(with forum enabled).
Only enrolled into course learners have access to this board. Learner goes to course forum following the link to forum .
If group forums enabled, then for each group individual forum is created in course board, access to group forum has only group-learners.

Teacher is a moderator in course/groups forums.

You can't change forum icon link location.
