A few bugs/suggestions...

First of all...I love this package and think that for a first release you have done a fantastic job! For anyone still thinking about purchasing then I would say don't worry - it really is a great bit of software and the support to date has been terrific. The bigs below are only minor and a little code tweaking will have them fixed I am sure.

I have been reviewing the system closely and have spotted the following:

1. Course Categories
Currently they are displayed in the drop down boxes at the front end in the order in which they were entered in the back end. It would be useful to have the drop down filter boxes sort the courses alphabetically, or have some form of ordering system in the backend.

2. English Language File
Most of the English is correct but there are a few grammatical errors. I know most people will be able to change this themselves but if you want someone to look at it let me know. I have already made a few tweaks to mine.

3. DropBox
An error exists in the drop box as posted in my earlier forum posting.
When a teacher posts a drop box item to a student the students drop box still shows the message “No new items in Digital DropBox” and display 0/1 in the count. I know that you are already aware of this now.

4. Homework on Course Homepage
Under the Homework in the main user page it shows as:
Homework Title (description)
However, on the course homepage the homework just shows as:
Homework Title ( )
Nothing appears in the brackets.

5. Course Import
This does not seem to be working correctly.
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_OBJECT_OPERATOR in /var/www/www.elearningforce.dk/www/lms/components/com_joomla_lms/includes/jlms_course_import.php on line 733
I have tried this feature on my install and yours.

6. Announcements
After entering an announcement I seem to get the following at the end of the message: \n\r
These can easily be removed by editing the announcement again.

7. Learning Paths
When starting a learning path there is a round green button/arrow on the left and right. The one on the left seems meaningless and a few users have been clicking it thinking it started the learning path course. (It does say ‘start’ when you hover above it)

8. Course DropBox
There is a small envelope icon with each entry.
1) This seems to appear even though the item has not been read
2) It says ‘Readed’ when hovering about it instead of ‘Read’

9. Tracking
The ‘Clear’ results from the database does not appear to be working


SUGGESTIONS:
Dates
As previously posted, the ability to format the date would be useful and I believe this is being worked on for the next release. Currently yyyy-mm-dd……would like the option to have dd-mm-yyyy

Homework
Teacher: the teacher can mark a homework as completed but does not seem to be able to amend this and mark it as incomplete. What if the teacher clicks the wrong student – surely they need a way of amending this.

10. Gradebook Entry
The gradebook entry for a student should list the defined grades, however it is only listing a number.
E.g. The STUDENT they should have 'A' as their recorded mark. They are shown '2'. A quick check of the database tables shows that it is listing the 'id' and not 'scale_name' field.

I too would love an easy way to sort courses once they are in the LMS!

This has already been fixed. The course categories automatically appear in the drop down filter in alphabetical order.
