Im curious about any particular advantage of using Community Builder along with Joomla LMS?
I have used Community Builder successfully in creating a social network site so I know what it is good at and its good when it works- So in creating a new site for learning management I started out to incorporate CB into this before adding Joomla LMS.
However, I have been having problems with CB this time around.
I wonder whether I should persist and troubleshoot CB - or just clear it all out and use the default joomla login etc with Joomla LMS.
The more components and modules the more opportunity for instability and problems! Do you have any advice?

We recommend using CB. It is a great user management tool.
At the time being JoomlaLMS integrates with CB a little (user import working with CB, user profiles are linked to CB). In the future we planned more integration with CB (various plugins and etc.).

Hi
I am having problems with CB. I have completely removed and reinstalled twice without fixing the issue.
The problem occurs when updating a profile. I added extra fields into the contact tab for address etc but when trying to save any changes by pressing the update key the page goes blank - changes aren't saved and I have to hit the back key on the browser to try again. Pressing the cancel key seems to work OK.
I have tried with Firefox, Safari and IE7 and the same problem occurs.
Curiously if I try to upload an avatar into my profile everything goes well until I click to upload a selected image - browser then goes blank apart from the information - session expired which appears on the upper left screen.
Firebug on my Firefox browser doesn't seem to show any significant errors - Im more a business man than a professional so Im looking for a practical solution.
I suspected a template problem - but trying the default Joomla templates, clearing caches - gives the same result.
I have currently removed CB again - checked the sql database for errors and I can see that I can add accounts and achieve logins OK with the regular joomla login.
The purpose of the site www.learnahp.com will be to manage and host on line courses for allied health professionals - I like the look of your product as the heart of it.
Maybe I need to try reinstalling CB again.
Thanks for your response
Derek
Do you use any CB plugins or other mods?
For completely remove/reinstall component you could remove component and all DB tables with prefix 'jos_comprofiler' and then install new one.

At this point I only added Simpleboard - but did not publish. I hadn't added a PM system up until now. I will check the DB tables.
Thanks

Hi Im using CB with advance profile control. (ie the contacts of my clients will not be seen by others). Will this be an issue when I install this LMS?
No this will not be an issue. Teacher will be able to see learner's email.
