JoomlaLMS allows you to use Joomla content mambots in Learning content.
For ex. you can use AllVideos plugin to play video in Learning content.
AllVideos plugin you can found here: http://extensions.joomla.org/component/option,com_mtree/task,viewlink/link_id,812/Itemid,35/

Normally our instructors are uploading documents as learning content. How can this component be used to show video?

There is some ways:
1. You can create SCORM package with video using special authoring software.
2. You can upload avi files into the 'documents' tool (adon't forget to allow uploading of necessary file types at the BackEnd configuration) and then use these documents as steps in the native learning path (video will be played in the special flash-based player)
3. Or you can use Joomla mambots for inserting media into the learning path content (not all mambots are supported).
