Hello,
Could somebody point me how to do this:
I have joomla and joomlalms. I wish to allow/permit only certain people to register for the course but this should not prevent people from registering to joomla but not to course.

I mean, anybody should be able to register to joomla but only certain people (whom I have allowed) should be able to register for the course.

Is it possible? if so how can I do it? any pointers please?

thanks

You can disable 'Self registration' for the course and add these people to the course manually.

Then I have to import user's list as csv file and assign them a default pwd for all. Right?
Columns: username,name,email,password
Example: Ivanov,Ivan,ivan@ivan-host.com,userpassword

Excel has a save as option for csv. Can I put the column names in Row 1?
Like A1=Username, B1=name etc.
And then enter the data on row 2 and so on?

Thank you,

You can add existent Joomla! user to the course by following these ways:
1. Go to your course, enter to the one of usergroups in 'User management' tool. Then click 'add user' button and select user from the list of registered users.

2. ... Click 'add user' button and import users from CSV file (example you can see in attachement). If in CSV file will be listed existent Joomla users then they will be added to your course.

You can add users, which are not registered at your site. (in this case they will become registered and enrolled into your course). To do this upload CSV file with information about users like in attachement.
