We are getting the following error when trying to upload an Articulate SCORM 1.2 file. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

"Could Not Find a Course XML Setup File In The Package"

Thank you...

SCORM package is not a "fully course" - it is a "learning material". In that case you could firstly create a course and then add your learning material to it (you could upload your package into 'Learning Paths' section: "LearningPaths -> New learning path ->SCORM").

Check that imsmanifest.xml is located in the root of your package.

I have never had any problems uploading Articulate content. The manifest file is configured automatically by Articulate. My suspicion is that you are not uploading the right file.

Thanks a lot for the feedback.

We are uploading the zip file created by Articulate when we publish the course.

Is there another file, we should be uploading?

You should upload Articulate course not when you publish the course, but at the 'LearningPath' section of already created JoomlaLMS course.

Hi Ckbjarski,

I guess you must be taking a wrong step somewhere.

1. Create your course within JoomlaLMS.
2. Then go to the Learning Paths section by clicking on its icon.
3. Create a new Learning Path by clicking on the green cross.
4. Select the Scorm tab at the top.
5. Locate file on the computer which contains your Articulate course. Normally this is in an Articulate Presenter folder and within that a data and scorm folder. It is in zip format and will have been published to Scorm 1.2 or Scorm 2004.
5. Specify if necessary the size of your screen stage and name (you can specify these later)
6. Save and wait. Depending on how large your course is and your php.ini settings for upload to your server, this can take between a few seconds and 10 minutes.
11. Your Scorm should now be ready to play. You can publish it by clicking on the red cross next to its name in the learning path list and also by publishing the course via the main course list.

Hi. I also have problems loading an Articulate course... I successfully upload the course as described in your detailed instructions, but then I get the following error:
--------
Warning: stripos() expects parameter 1 to be string, NULL given in /home/content/l/e/a/learningportal/html/includes/compat.php50x.php on line 105

loading
---------
Then the file redirects to the 404 page... not my Joomla SEF 404 page, but my hosting provider's 404 page.

Is there a path setting somewhere? Is ArtioSEF a problem with JoomlaLMS?

I can see the zipped and unzipped SCORM packages in my joomlalms scorm folder via FTP, so I know that the file uploaded correctly and is not corrupted. The entire articulate program is there, and if I manually go to the URL for the player.html file, I can see and run the SCORM.

Sorry, not using ArtioSEF, using 404SEFx which I believe became ArtioSEF some time later.

Too many SEF options!

JoomlaLMS 1.0.2 has compatibility problems with ArtioSEF during SCORM playing.
in 1.0.3 pronlems are solved.
What version you are using?
Also can you provide your PHP version?

Hi Den,

I set 404SEFx to skip the JoomlaLMS component and the SCORM works fine. I did need to delete the learning path and re-upload it through, simply skipping joomlalms in the SEF alone didn't fix the problem.

I can live without SEF friendly URLS on my SCORMS... flash content isn't searchable for google anyway, and I publish my course descriptions as standard joomla content which is SEF friendly with 404SEFx.

Please see PM.

Some things about SEO:
JoomlaLMS is a component which requires user registration. In this case search engines can't index any page inside the course.

You can test it from guest access. You can view only course name and its description (with metakeys and meta description on the page).

Yes, I'm logging in with a dummy student account that I set up for testing purposes.

I can view the course home, acccess the learning paths. But when you hit the learning path with SEF enabled, I get a 404. As mentioned, NOT the 404 from SEF 404, but my ISP's 404 which makes me wonder...

SEF off, I can access the learning path and play the scorm fine.
