I would like the ability to set up a quiz of 100 questions. But I would like to break this up into 4 sections with each section having 25 questions. I would like to take the average from all the sections for the grading. This way a person can take the quiz one section at a time instead of all at once.

Below is a quick example.

Quiz 1:
Section 1: 67%
Section 2: 54%
Section 3: 88%
Section 4: 92%

Total score = 75.25%

I was told this isnt currently possible with Joomla LMS and wanted know how difficult it would be to customize this component to do this. Would this be a large project?

Do you need to see this average grading at the gradebook?
May be the next solution would be much better:
How about don't break the quiz into sections, just create 4 separated quizzes.
In this case would be easier to create new grading method in gradebook, which will merge results from separated sources.

Yes, I would need to see the average grading in the gradebook. The user would also need to see the average. The average score would determine if the user passes the course. Once the user passes the class I would like them recieve an email telling them that they passed the course.
