Conference not showing

Just updated to version 1.0.3....some lovely improvements.

On the conference module the right hand side (whiteboard etc) is not showing.

Anyone any ideas?

Had a problem installing so had to use your installer....noticed that the jlms folder was also missing and a few graphics files were corrupt (now sorted that)....could it be that any files are missing?

What is required?

Check that files 'components/com_joomla_lms/includes/conference/center_student.swf'
and
'components/com_joomla_lms/includes/conference/center.swf' are exists and not corrupted.
For version 1.0.3:
center.swf - 76580 bytes
center_student.swf - 76030 bytes

Can you provide for me student account to your site?

Found the problem...i think!

Seems that the swf files are corrupt.

Any way to get hold of these?

Try to unpack your JoomlaLMS package at your local computer and reupload corrupted files via FTP.
It seems that sometimes our server zip packer (which we are used to pack your packages) is not supported on some servers.

I am unable to do that because it keeps asking for a password when I try to unzip

Very strange. ZIP archives are without password protection. On my computer (WinXP and WinRAR) your package is unzipped without any problems.

PROBLEM NOW SOLVED.

I am using a MacPro with MAMP and just created a paid hosted account for RealServer at Influxis.com as recommended.

I've allowed my domain in the Influxis.

I've opened all necessary ports on my firewall and MacPro

I go into the Conference module and it shows the server as unavailable.

I am demoing this for a customer next week, so need to know what to do to get this function working.

This function doesn't correctly works at influxis servers. Allow all domains.

P.S. to restrict access you can find the following line in the main.asc:

this.domainList = new Array( "http://www.yoursite.com", "http://yoursite.com", "*");

and change it to the list of allowed domains (don't forgot to remove asterisk record)

I set this as suggested, and changed Influxis as suggested. Server status still shows as unavailable??????? Any other ideas?

Go to 'My applications' page -> click 'FCS administration console' -> click 'connect' -> click 'Maintenance' tab -> click 'restart adapotor/vhost'.
Then at the 'My applications' page click 'FCS App Inspector' -> 'connect' -> type in the 'App/Inst' box 'jlms_app' and click 'Load'.

3. At the folder 'jlms_app' create folder 'streams' and acreate folder '_definst_' in the 'streams'.

OK...got a green light on the server connection, but errors out saying Undefined/ ????

What have you done?

Restart your vhost and application, as i wrote few posts before.

Yes. Did all that, uploaded files to the jlms_app folder, can load the application and get a green light on the Server State. Total Clients shows as undefined/ and when I enter the conference, I get a undefined error

Thank you for all of this help, I want this demo to go well so we can get them on this software which I feel is the best out there to meet their needs.

And again check all settings:
1. Specify rtmp url at the JoomlaLMS configuration with a slash at the back of the url;
2. Disable 'Reffering domains' option at your influxis acount. (temporary try to add asterisk to the domain list in main.asc)
3. Just wait some time for application reloading, or reload it using 'FCS App Inspector').

I am go away now and i hope that you will solve the problem.

Another clue: Error message is a popup window when launching the conference module. The error message is:

message server: undefined

What information do you see at the first conference screen in the 'Total clients:' field? Still 'undefined' text?

Correct, and the pulldown list has no choices. The server light is now green.
