Hi

I've installed the trial version and would like to create a course to see if this will work for us but I can't seem to be able to do that.
Can you please help?

Thanks
Ismael

Follow these instructions:
1. Login as admin into Joomla Back-End.
2. Joomla LMS -> Manage users -> 'New' -> Select your 'username' and role 'teacher'. (You've created new teacher)
3. Log in Joomla Front-End with teacher account - At 'courses list' you will see 'new course' button.

I try create a new user (because I have the same problem to create a new course) like you tell above, but the usertype box is blank. How I change this?

NOTE: I use a tryout version in my local PC.

Thanks

1) Is Joomla running otherwise on your local system?

2) If so - is JoomlaLMS installed properly? (even if no courses are available you should be able to get some results in the frontend)

3) If so - try the following: register a new user to Joomla, call him Fred or whatever you like. Test if you can login as "Fred" into your Joomla system.

4) If so - log out again and login as admin at the backend (www.mysite.com/administrator). Going to your user management you should find Fred. Going to the user management of the LMS you should be able to makel Fred teacher or student.

If NOT please tell us, at which step this description did not work for you. There must be a way.... :-)

It seems that JoomlaLMS was not installed properly or there was a database error during installation. Try to uninstall component, manually (using phpMyadmin for ex.) remove all tables with prefix 'jos_lms' and then reinstall the component.
