"This function temporary unavailable" as you may already know this is the default message you will get if you disable the LMS component in the LMS config.

Im posting this because i failed to notice that the LMS com was disabled by default. So after about 2 hours of wondering why i could get the menu to appear I kinda figured it out.

'JLMS Online' option was kept disabled to attract user's attention to the JoomlaLMS configuration page. Possibly in the next releases we will change the default value of the option.

Hi - just registered and downloaded trial, but on the page that pppeared after download I now see that it is good only for 1.0.12, but my webhost runs joomla 1.0.11 - what should I do now? Can I still use your program or have to wait for upgrades on my webhost?

You can use our program. JoomlaLMS 1.0.3 will work on the Joomla 1.0.12 and early versions. But for security reasons i recommend you to upgrade your Joomla.

Upgrading Joomla makes a lot of sense. But be aware of the problems you might get, when upgrading to Joomla 1.0.13! Afterwards you cannot go back to 1.0.11 or 1.0.12. And there may be more issues, depending on the components you use. Have a look at the joomla.org forums to find out more, if unsure.

The forum won't work with 1.0.13 so heed Andreas' advice! The more components you add the more likely you are to have problems when upgrading. I now keep a log of all upgrades and changes so when I upgrade the LMS or Joomla I can check that all the things I had problems with are still working.
