I just registered for this... and maybe I am stupid but there seems to be simply no way to get an idea what this LMS is like. There are no screenshos, it seems that I can't login (admin) to a sample installation and play around... After having logged in I go to members area but none of the courses work except that I should go to learningpath - what and where is learning path is that a menu a url??
Anyway I like Joomla and having a good quality LMS is awesome. However compared to other LMS packages this one seems just very unprofessional... with no demos, no screenshots and simply no way to do a quick evaluation. Also no detailed feature list - its great that 8 question types are supported but it would be awesome to know which one... the same is true for a bunch of other features....
I gave myself 20min to see if this joomlaLMS is what we are looking for... fact is after 20min... one has simply no clue... my general impression is that it's all very unprofessional... i login have no clue where to go, no sample courses, or where can I see a demo for a sample quiz?? no sample installations etc. As corporate user I simply have not the time to download it, install it to get this information. We'd pay someone to set it up.
So after 20min of dabbling around I still know nothing about it, haven't managed to start a course or do a test... so how do I get a quick evaluation, screenshots and sample tests/quizzes?

Ok here is what happens..going to your suggested first link
http://www.joomlalms.com/LMS-elearning-solutions
I signed up and log in but still get to see just a sales page... it says welcome mobile1 but still the same old sales info... I'd expect a learning environment, courses, tests, reports, feedback button just anything a student would see INSTEAD I see the same old sales info. Ok so no success still no info.
Ok then I try the second link... for teachers rights... I check the check box and request it and STILL I am back at the same old page... sales info... I'd expect a menu where I can create tests, quizzes, reports on student performance etc. etc.... but can't find it anywhere, in fact none of the available menu items make sense for a teacher...
Anyway ok I am trying the tutorial links then....
Ohhh and FINALLY I get to see what it looks like... doing questions etc... GREAT BUT still the same old problem... for example in the student tutorial... a user is logged in (ok I got that far) the speaker then just says THEN YOU GO TO THE JOOMLA LMS ... while the mouse moves outside the screen... somewhere...(WHERE????) and then the screen changes and the student is in the Joomla LMS... but HOW DO I GET TO THAT JOOMLA LMS???
Anyway maybe I am stupid - however I do have an IT background - and maybe your normal user has no problems figuring all this out - and maybe you sell lots of your joomla Lms... however for my part my impression is:
a) confusing
b) complicated
c) not intuitive
d) impossible to get a first impression
e) I am not sure if it's so brilliant that I don't get it or so poorly done that I don't get it.
Take a look at other learning components f.e. igivetest.com or other LMS websites how they do it. They have accounts you log in and you're there... full functionality. They have screenshots... easy simple to follow instructions, detailed feature list (in order to know what questions your LMS supports - which is absolutely a key feature - one has to listen to a lengthy tutorial - that's just bad)...
Anyway I hope you get your act together. For the moment however my impression is more that if the DEMO system you guys have installed is so complicated that I can't figure it out even after posting here, why would I make any of my customers go through that.
And contacting support, or going through help files JUST to get a general idea... of what it feels like... I just don't have the time for that. Good luck and I might check back again in half a year and hope you got your stuff together better... or if you feel it's perfect the way it is then its probably the wrong solution for us (especially since we need someone that can do a considerable amount of development)...
Anyway good luck and bye...
Our DEMO is intuitive and not complicated, it seems that you are missing one little step.
Any user can use our DEMO after registration on our site, you don't need to request demo account or something other via email, you don't need to activate your demo account via email, you don't need wait for our response.
JoomlaLMS as has 2 main user roles: learner and teacher. Teacher can create courses, learner can take these courses.
To be a teacher in our DEMO, you should request teacher rights here http://www.joomlalms.com/index.php?option=com_lms_rights (just one mouse click).
If you are understand the way all other LMS's work then it should be simple for you: firstly you should create your course or (if you are a learner) you should choose the course to enroll from the list of existent.
Here is our DEMO: http://www.joomlalms.com/LMS-elearning-solutions.
Leaners can enroll into existent courses (courses are created by our users in testing purposes, therefore don't hope to see something exciting). Teachers can create thier own courses by clicking 'new course' button at the DEMO page.
Let us know if you have any more questions.

Your comments are rather harsh Mobile1.
JoomlaLMS is by far the best LMS out there...and I have researched most of them.
I currently have over 2000 users happily using the system....from 10 years old up, and they find it very easy to use. We have almost 500 courses live with more being added regularly.
You really should stick with it and spend some time getting to know it.
When a user logs in they are taken straight to the course...no messing!
I also use iGiveTest (or used to)....but we now use the quiz module in JoomlaLMS. It does what iGiveTest does and more.
The support here is top rate with Den even spending time developing custom patches for individual users where required....you don't get that over at iGiveTest unless you spend $$$.

Hi there, I am also very experienced IT/Joomla!/PHP and yet totally confused in trying to get an overview of the LMS from a students perspective.
When I go to http://www.joomlalms.com/LMS-elearning-solutions/task,courses/ I get a list of courses that seem to be what a student would get. However, I have yet to find any realistic looking content in any of the courses. Most of the courses seem to be totally empty or say I am not subscribed, but there is no intuitive way to subscribe.
I downloaded and installed the demo with no problem, but I was dearly hoping for a sample curriculum/courses (similar to Joomla!, Virtuemart, jGroups, etc) to give me a head start as to what it would look like. Unfortunately, there was no sample data to be found.
I would suggest that you 1) Clean up the existing task/courses so that it only contains legitimate data and 2) Include a sample set of course data with the demo product.
