I have a course and wish to have 2 different subscriptions these are both number of days one subscription is 30 days access the other is an upsell to 50 days, I assign these subscriptions to a course, but when a user pays for a course say the 30 day subscription the user automaticlly gets enrolled to the 50 day aswell.

Should this happen!

I am sure, Den will reply to this question. But did I understand this correct:

You put *one* course under two different subscription models???

I would suspect that this doesn't work. While it is possible to place several courses into one subscription, it may be problematic to place one course into two or more subscriptions --- or am I wrong here???? DEN????

What I would suggest you try if the above should be true: export the course and upload it under a different name. Then you could create one subscription for one course and another subscription for the other course. In that case what you describe shouldn't happen any more.

thanks andreas for your reply, I need to incorporate an upsell of additional days so I will use your method of duplicating the course, although seems a bit odd I will need to duplicate all my courses.

Thanks for your help, maybe a feature for the future, what do you think Den!

Currently you can create unlimited number of subscriptions to the same course.
These subscriptons can have different prices and access periods.
But by subscribing to any subscription user unable to decrease his current access period.

So if he is already enrolled to the course without any limitations then after purchasing 30-days subscription his access period will be remained the same - unlimited as before (but payment will be processed).

Thats great, so if the student purchase 30 days, then after the 30 days they will be unsubscribed (even though if they look at their subscriptions there is a tick next to the 50 days option).

Green tick next to the subscription course is related to the course. So, if currently user have access to the course, this tick will be shown. (it independent from the subscription access level and related ONLY to the current user course status).

It's great to find that Joomlalms is even more flexible than expected. So my apologies for the wrong assumption that it would not be possible.

However, duplicating a course can have other advantages (like modifying / extending one course, but not the other). Furthermore - if your subscription modell gets too complicated, you might loose track of some details and duplicating a course might be easier. Well, Den's solution is more elegant, for most purposes..... So again, apologies.

Hi can i effect the subscription / enrollment myself if payment is received other than paypal. (You know clients may opt to pay us via ATM / internet fund transfer or by cheque)

Yes, you can use 'Offline payment' processor. During checkout using this processor all orders are marked as 'pending'. Only administrator is able to mark purchases as 'complete' (and only after that user will receive access to the course)
