Hi
Firstly....the component you have developed is AWESOME !!! Great work ! Thank you.
I am just trying out the trial version and intend to purchase a license soon.
I have a few questions :
1. When I opt for hosting, will I be able to host a website under a domain name that I have already registered ?
2. Can I then customise the home page of my website the way I want, and give a link to the courses from the Menu?
3. We are a small startup and would like to try our products, say for six months... do you offer a half yearly hosting package ?
Thank You
1. Yes, registered domain name should be provided by you.
2. It will be your independent site, we will install Joomla CMS and your JoomlaLMS package for you. You can install/manage/customize any Joomla extensions on your site. Even you can remove Joomla and our component and use hosting feature for your needs ;)
3. Contact us here: http://www.joomlalms.com/contacts/ for more details about this possibility.

Hi
Thank you for your promt response to the previous questions.
A few more... :)
1. Could you please let me know what is "Collaboration Whiteboard" ?
2. Is there any demo site using this ?
3. Which hosting plan should we buy if we need to use this feature ?
4. How does this compare with "Moodle" ?

I have been using Moodle in the past. Moodle is a bit more complex - which means more complicated, not necessarily more flexible. JoomlaLMS is "cleaner", easier to handle, more intuitive and it works (which wasn't always true for all Moodle components). Another problem with Moodle: support takes much longer to obtain.
Main advantage of JoomlaLMS over Moodle: it is fully integrated in Joomla - so you can add almost any functionality you can imagine.

There is a conference tool integrated to the JoomlaLMS (http://www.joomlalms.com/lms_help/task,view_by_id/id,20/). Teacher can draw on the whiteboard and it will be seen in real-time for all participating in the conference learners.
You can try this feature at our DEMO.
Check this link http://www.joomlalms.com/index.php?option=com_lms_rights to get teacher access to the DEMO, create your course and enter to the conference module.
In order to make conference work you need to purchase FlashMediaServer hosting (for media streaming)
