Just wanted to check if / how we can do the following :

1. Have different student groups in one course ?
2. Have different chat rooms / forums with restricted access for each group?
3. Each group collaborates on an assignment and makes a presentation to the class.

I had sent a mail to "http://www.joomlalms.com/contacts/" enquiring about any flexibility in the hosting options as advised on an earlier post on the forum. Haven't heard from anyone. Kindly help.

1. Yes, you can create several usergroups per course, but one learner can participate only in one group.
2. At the usergroup settings (during editing the usergroup) you can set options 'Individual group forum' / 'Individual group chat' to 'Yes'.
3. Please explain in more details. Learners are unable to upload any presentations to the LMS. They can sent documents only to the teacher (using dropbox or mailbaox)

Students working together on one project might be possible with the white board function in the conference section - I would guess. I am not sure though wether this would require an authorized teacher or assistant to be present.
In the latter case one of the students would have to be declared assistant.
