Hello,

I have sent to inquiries via your contact form asking about how perpetual licensing works, but I have not received a response. This was in the last two or three weeks. Seeing how quickly you respond on the forum, I though maybe the contact form wasn't working properly, so I will pose my question here:

Can you please give me the ins and outs of perpetual licensing? Is it only good for one version of LMS? For instance if you release a new version of the LMS, will the perpetual licenses still work on the new version? Any other info would be good.

Thanks,
Jill

Hi Jill,
Our apologies for our contact form problems. It possibly was due to the change of our hosting provider.

Here are the ins and outs for perpetual license:
Perpetual license for JoomlaLMS will cost you as 3 years fee.
And will include one year support and new versions upgrade. So you can upgrade your system during this year.
After a year time you will have to pay 180$ per year for the same service independently of number of LMS users.
Note, that you don't need to upgrade every time - our versions are stable and usable as long as you don't need new released features.

Thanks for your quick reply. Just to make sure that I understand this correctly, the perpetual licensing offers one free year of support and free upgrades. However after one year, IF we need to upgrade, it will cost $180? Does that also create another year of free support?

So, if we get the perpetual licensing, and do not decide to ever upgrade and do not need support, then we will not have to pay the $180, right? I just want to make sure that the $180 isn't required each year if we do not upgrade or need support.

Thanks!
Jill

Yes
That is correct
If you don't need support and upgrade after one year, you don't need to pay anything. Just use LMS you got.
As soon as you need upgrade you pay 180 annual fee and we give you new version update possibility and support for one year again.

Thank you. How do I go about buying a perpetual license for 5,000 users? I see that it isn't setup in the online cart.

Thanks!

Ok let me describe the process. It is a bit complicated and we going to change it soon, but here are the steps for now:
1. using our webshop on EF site pay the amount needed: http://www.elearningforce.biz/webshop/page,shop.product_details/flypage,shop.flypage/product_id,75/category_id,9/manufacturer_id,0/

2.do a pending order on our JoomlaLMS site for <5000 users license. Leave the comments that you would like the perpetual license.

3.Let us know your payment ID so we can process your order.

Hi! Just to clarify, do we use step one to pay the difference for what the perpetual licensing would be or pay the full amount there? If we pay the full amount, how exactly do we proceed with the actual purchase? I am afraid I didn't understand what you meant by "pending" order.

Thanks,
Jill

you can do two payments if it is more convenient for you.
The first - one year license (through Joomlalms.com) and the second one - The rest of the summ (through EF site)

Just let us know both payments details so we process you the right license.
Do that using our ticket system, please:http://www.elearningforce.biz/tickets/

pending order - it is the situation, when you stop processing your payment on the paypal (without entering the payment details).

SO, you can do 2 options:

pay all on EF site and then do pending order on JLMS site

or

pay first half on jlms site (choosing one year license for 5000 users) and then pay the second half on EF site

Okay, my client just ordered 5,000 perpetual licenses using two steps you provided
I don't see where to open a support ticket
Sorry, I must be blind today! Can you point me in the right direction?

where do you base the starting price of the perpetual license? $299 x 3? or the max which is 999 x 3?

$299 x 3? or the max which is 999 x 3?

it is depends on the number of licensed users. $299 x 3 is for 100 licensed users.

How do you reorder another year of support? There is a possibility that my client would like to upgrade from 1.0.6, but I don't see a method to buy the access to the 1.0.6 upgrade for $180. Also, if he wanted to further upgrade to PRO, how much would that cost?

Please use our Custom Payment section in JoomlaLMS web-shop:
http://www.joomlalms.com/buy_now/standard_edition/
In the custom payment section please enter the necessary amount and in the order comment box leave the information what the payment is for.

As for the upgrade - for perpetual license it will be simply paying the difference. Do you need a full pricing structure (it may have changed since your original order)?
