Yes, we are planning to translate some languages before 1.0.5 release.

why don't you fill the non translated bits with the english version of the code so we kwow what to translate by just overwriting it in our language

Yes, in the non-english languages untranslated messages are skipped. You can use special text comparison tools to get difference between files.
