Translation into portuguese

I have done a translation into portuguese/portugal which I can make available to you. There is still a problem which I cannot solve: in the announcements section the days of the week and the names of the months still appear with funny characters.
I used the files from the brazilian/portuguese translation, adapted the language and added all the things added in the english version for the later versions (the brazilan files are old). But I cannot find the months names anywhere. In the website they do appear in Portuguese but there is a problem with a certain number of characters because the file has to be saved in Unicode UFT-8, no BOM in order for the characters to be displayed correctly.
Once this issue is solved, how and can I send you the language folder?

In the current (1.0.4) version month names are taken from server locale. Sometimes month names in the server locale have different from your site encoding (therefore you see incorrect characters).
In the upcoming 1.0.5 month names and days of week would be present in the language files and would be translatable.
New language files would be available in few days and i will upload them to this board.

Thanks for the reply. I am still using the demo version, because I want to check if it is the tool I need.
Is the demo version a 1.04 version or a previous one?
Once I buy the component should I need to upgrade to another version or it is just a matter of license code?
If you are preparing a new version can I suggest three things:
1. The possibility to have embedded video in content pages inside the learning paths, by allowing the use of plugins - like the allvideoreloaded (new version of allvideo mambot for joomla 1.5). Now I can only have video files as documents but, when I click in the learning path step, the window of the video doesn't show immediately.
2. The possibility to choose the documents you want to add to the learning path from previously uploaded files through ftp and not only through direct upload from the computer.
3. In the conference tool, the possibility to increase the size of the video window, when you don't need to have the board and you don't want to show images or anything.
