If I am to buy the JoomlaLMS to use for now and would like a custom version of this LMS in the near future. How would licensing work? would I need to buy or is there an ownership option? If not, how does ownership of that custom LMS work?

Doing custom versions for clients we always try to meet individual customer needs. So it is possible both when custom development code we sell to customer completely or we own this code.

On the request of customer we also can consider including code to the next versions what will give the customer free custom version support.

If you buy professional version with the open source code of course all custom development done by you will be your property. We also able to support custom versions when changing new version.
