Question Expiring a Course Completion

We have a situation where students are required to retake certain courses annually. Is there any way in LMS to "expire" a student's certificate and to mark the course as "not taken" so that he may retake the course. How about a way to notify the student that it is time for him to retake the course and obtain a new certificate?

Thank you,
Howard

There is no such functionality in LMS; in order to mark a course as "not taken" and reset students progress in all parts of the course - you need to delete the student from the course and enroll again (and manually send email to notify them to take the course again).
Regarding certificates: Records about users certificate are stored in JoomlaLMS and not removed once student is deleted from the course. If you use 'date' on your certificates (text with the date automatically added on certificate by LMS) - a new certificate will be printed with the same date it was printed before. To reset the date - you need to manually delete the database records.

If you want to automate the process described above - we can research a possibility to develop a custom modification on a paid basis for you. Please contact us via helpdesk if you are interested.
