Schedule one on one time with Tutor

My user wants to have several times throughout courses (these courses are generally 3 months duration), private 1/1 counseling Tutor/Student. The scheduling of these sessions seems convoluted without an interactive diary in the system. (i.e Tutor issues dates and times of availability via an Announcement, Students respond by mail, Tutor sorts out conflicting time preferences etc.
Alternative Tutor announces times they have allocated to a Student, Students swap with other Students if times inconvenient (Use Chat or Forum) tells Tutor of any changes etc.
Do you have a solution?

Unfortunately there is no such functionality in JoomlaLMS at the moment and an extensive custom development is needed to implement it.
If you are interested in custom development on a paid basis please submit a ticket to our helpdesk providing more details about the necessary functionality. Also could you please describe how your one-on-one courses work if you submit a ticket. Is it a video conference? Do you use other JoomlaLMS functionality or only the conference? We will be glad to assist.

Just wondering whether Room Booker couldn't be twisted and tweaked to accomplish this task? - I realize it is not integrated in JoomlaLMS - but just a thought.

Two other ideas...
The tutor could announce his times of availability in the calendar - upon which the student reserves his time slot via email - and the tutor takes off the calendar.
Well, not fully automated - but if you do 1 on 1 tutoring - you don't think "automated" anyway. ;-)

We don't plan to integrate Room Booker but perhaps in future when we change our Flash conference to another similar component we will also add some similar functionality. Unfortunately we can't provide some exact time reference here.
