Default Recording Login Attempts

Using a local network (no Internet) with Joomla 1.6.0 and JoomlaLMS 1.2.0 Professional.

Is there a way to know when a user has attempted to log in to JoomlaLMS and fails?

I can write some php to record this data if someone can help me find out where I could capture such data.

Thanks.

If you use the standard Joomla login process (e.g. the standard login module) - please check the function "onUserLogin()" in the following file: plugins/user/joomla/joomla.php

If you use the login form embedded into JoomlaLMS pages (e.g. during course enrolment) - please check "class JLMS_UserSessions -> function doLogin()" in the following file:
components/com_joomla_lms/includes/libraries/lms.lib.user_sessions.php

Thanks for the guidance.

It led me to a solution by updating this file:

\joomla\libraries\joomla\application\application.p hp

I can now log successful and failed logins.
