I have asked via pm several times bot gotten no answer. I have a paid course I have been testing. When a user registers and enrolls. Then pays via paypal, I have to go in and change the status for the user to continue to the course.
This should change the status automatically after a payment is made and brings the user back to the site they are still not enrolled. This is really not going to work for us and I now have a LOT of money tied up in this LMS to find out that I am going to have to change the status of payment and manually enroll student is just not going to work. Anyhelp? |

Check the PayPal account settings:
Enter to your paypal acount -> 'My account' -> select 'profile' menu item -> 'Instant payment notification settings' -> check that 'Instant Payment Notification' is 'On'. To the 'IPN url' filed you can enter any url, i.e. 'http://yoursite.com/index.php'. |

We've had the same issue with Paypal processing and hopefully it is fixed now. I would PM Den.

Summarizing what has been said in various places.... I believe the paypal problems can have several causes - some resting with paypal, others - maybe in JLMS....
1. For us the paypal integration in JoomlaLMS is working without problems. - We have our server in Germany (maybe the country is an issue!) - We use a dedicated server with its own IP address - We don't use the tax functions (we have a separate billing system to account for taxes) 2. What is irritating is, that your PM attempts don't seem to help. Experiences in this forum have been very different so far. My guess is: Den is extremely busy. While I don't need to defend Den of Elearningforce - I am sure they WILL work on the issue. 3. We still believe and fight for a different solution... While a complete virtuemart integration may be too tricky and costly, "payment" by access code (rather than paypal) should be an easy to implement option. In such a case the access code is paid via VM or another shopping cart system, and once it is received - for instance in a document that is being downloaded - the customer not only gains access to JoomlaLMS but can find some first instructions as well... So, please, don't give up yet. A good solution will be a good solution for everybody, even if it requires some persistance. Meanwhile.... as I have said before as well: if paypal is a big issue for you, it's a good sign! It means you have more business than you can handle manually. ;-) |
