Default Setting up: yours FlashMediaServer + Live Conference from joomplace.com

Dear team,

as titled, some help is required I purchased both Live Conference from joomplace.com and your FlashMediaServer basic Plan. Here installation readme regarding Live Conference component:

If you bought Flash Media Server hosting please follow those steps:
1. Install the component com_liveconference.zip.
2. Setup flash URL (in Live Conference component configuration) of your flash media server account and max number of users, based on your plan.
Note that you should always add a slash in the end of URL (for example: "rtmp://tttt.rtmphost.com/").
3. Create new application with "liveconf_app" name. Create folders "streams" and "_definst_" as in the "liveconf_app" folder of this archive.
4. Copy all the files from "liveconf_app" folder of this archive to the "liveconf_app" application on your Flash Media Server.

Live conference is already installed. After entering rtmp://something, visible on my member area, the message "server not ready" is returned. Besides that, I have no idea at the moment, how to preoceed to points three and four.

Please help!

Greetings from Austria and sorry for my sintax-errors...

When you purchase FMS hosting (not server itself) - you don't need to proceed to points 3 and 4. Please make sure that you specified the URL exactly as shown in your Members Area without extra spaces or slashes. If this doesn't help please provide Joomla superadmin access to your site in a ticket in our helpdesk and we will check what the issue is.

Hello,

it works now. I have realised that communication has allways a time-delay, it seems that voice and sound travels some time. Is that a issue of our slow basic hosting plan or because we are sitting in Austria?

Sincerly, Miro M.

A short delay of several seconds is acceptable within the conference, as a
special intermediate server is used and the connection between users is
not immediate. The server is located in the UK and if the Internet connection of your students is slow then delay may occur.

Hello,

understand. Would a faster hosting plan make the connection better?

А faster hosting plan can solve the issues that occur because of a large number of students - when video and audio aren't played smoothly, pauses occur. But if you just have a small delay and video and audio play without breaks - then a faster plan won't help.

Have you tried adjusting video quality in the video settings in the conference window?
