Default IonCube Encoding Question

Hello All -

When we first purchased our PRO license, we received a copy of JoomlaLMS with *all* files - except for the license file - unencoded. This includes "joomla_lms.php"...

Well, we thought this was perfectly normal, since the PRO license includes source code. However, our license began to fail at 100 users, and we've since learned that this file *is* supposed to be encoded. Arg!

Now, we've looked, and we do have an encoded version as well (from another ZIP they'd sent us at some point) - but the problem is we've already customized the site, and that includes some changes to this file. Double Arg!!

So, I did some more digging, and found that IonCube has an online encoder - so I encoded our "joomla_lms.php" file, with changes and all - but without luck...

So I did even more digging and found that it's possible to encode files in IonCube with a passphrase...

Ok - So, does anyone know if JoomlaLMS did indeed use a passphrase when encoding their files?

Thanks a bunch!

p.s. The changes we made wouldn't/shouldn't break the license logic. We were having issues with "mixed content" being served over our https connection, and found that all of JoomlaLMS's static files were being served with absolute, http URLs - and there were a few things we had to tweak in this file to fix some of that...

On a side-note: If anyone knows how to fix that issue from some configuration file somewhere, it'd be much appreciated - because then we could just use the standard, encoded version of "joomla_lms.php" and be done with it.

Thanks again!

Usually joomla_lms.php is encoded in PRO version of JoomlaLMS. Your file may be unencoded either because it was a condition upon the purchase or this file was provided as unencoded by mistake.
The unencoded file has a limit of 100 users and it needs to be encoded in a certain way to accept the number of users specified in the license (only our developers can do that).
Please submit a ticket to our helpdesk with a reference to this forum post and attach your unencoded joomla_lms.php (please archive it first otherwise it won't be attached), our developers will analyse the changes you added and provide a solution.
