Mailbox Settings

You can manage Mailbox settings from the administrative area.

  1. Go to Configuration - > Email/Mailbox Settings - > Mailbox Configuration.

  1. Select Yes if you want the system to send notifications about new messages, otherwise select No.
  2. Enter a default email subject.
  3. Enter the message text.
  4. Click on the Save button (save icon). 

Global Address Book

  1. You can create an address book. To do it enter Email/Mailbox Settings ->Global Address Book.

  1.  A group of icons in the top right corner allows you to perform the following operations:
Icon Name Description
delete icon Remove
Select check boxes next to the items that you want to delete and click the Remove icon. Confirm your intention by clicking OK in the dialog box.
edit icon Change Select a check box next to the item that you want to modify and click the Change icon.
newadmin icon New Click the New icon to add a new address.

 

Email Notifications

  1. System allows to enable various email notifications to be sent on certain occasions to users and to modify these notifications. To enable an email notification enter Emails/Mailbox Settings-> Email Notifications. The list of existing notifications will open:

  1. Click on an icon next to a notification to enable or disable automatically sending it to users.
  2. To modify the properties of a certain notification click on its name. The Enter values form will open.

  1. Fill in the fields of the form as described below:
Field Step
Enabled
Select Yes if you wish to send this notification to users; otherwise check No.
Select roles Select the role(s) of the users who will receive the notification if enabled.
Select user email template From the drop-down window select a template for the notification if sent to users. Check the box if this notification shouldn't be sent to learners.
Select manager email template From the drop-down window select a template for the notification if sent to managers. Check the box if this notification shouldn't be sent to managers.
  1. Click the Save icon (save icon) or the Apply icon (apply icon) at the top of the page to save the changes; click the Cancel icon (cancel icon) to cancel changes.

Note: To be able to choose a template in the drop-down menu when editing a notification you should create a template for this notification in the Email Templates Manager section.

Email Templates Manager

The system allows creating templates for sending various email notifications on certain occasions to users.

To create a new template enter Email/Mailbox Settings->Email Template Manager. The list of existing templates will be shown:

To manage the settings, use the following icons at the top of the page:

Icon Name Description
back icon New Click the New icon to add a new template.
save icon Change Select a check box next to the item that you want to modify and click the Change icon.
apply icon Remove Select check boxes next to the items that you want to delete and click the Remove icon. Confirm your intention by clicking OK in the dialog box..

Click New to create a new template. The following form will open:

Fill in the fields of the form as described below:

Field Step
Name
Specify the name of this email notification template.
Subject Specify the subject of this email notification template.
Select notification type From the drop-down window select the type of email notification for this template.
Enabled Select Yes if you wish to enable sending this notification to users; otherwise select No.
Body HTML Enter the HML-formatted message of the notifications if necessary.
Body Text Enter the message of the notification if necessary.

Click the Save icon (save icon) or the Apply icon (apply icon) at the top of the page to save the changes; click the Cancel icon (cancel icon) to cancel changes.
