Do I need anything else except LMS license to run live conferencing?
You will need Flash Media Server (FMS) hosting to run live conferencing.

What is the difference between FMS and LMS License?
FMS license is a Flash Media Server which gives you a possibility to run online conference. The LMS license is a license for your JoomlaLMS.

How many users FMS license do I need? What do concurrent connections mean?
License for the conference doesn't count how many users you have in your LMS. The main thing for conference or FMS license is how many learners will be attending the conference at the same time (concurrent connections).
For example you can have 5000 users using your LMS. But when you run conference only 17 attend it at a time. Then you will need Flash Media Hosting only for 20 users maximum. If you need two groups of 20 learners each having conference at the same time you will need 40 users FMS license.

What should I do to configure my flash media server account?

1. Create application folder 'jlms_app' in the FMS account
2. Upload all files (diskSpaceLimit.asc, EventDispatcher.asc, main.asc, PElemTools.asc, PRecorder.asc) to the application folder.
3. Create empty folder 'streams' in the application folder.
4. Create empty folder '_definst_' in the folder 'streams'.
5. Try to disable 'Reffering domains' option at your account.

How to configure your Flash Media Server account:
1. Login to your account and click 'My applications' button.
2. Click 'File manager' link -> 'Add new application' button.
3. In field 'Enter a name for your new application' enter 'jlms_app' and select 'I will add my own ASC file(s)' option. Click 'Continue'.
4. Select option 'Upload ASC file' and upload main.asc file distributed with JoomlaLMS.
5. You will see the following:

You may now set your RTMP for this application in your Flash movie to:
rtmp://xxxxxxx.rtmphost.com/jlms_app
6. Got to your Joomla Back End -> JoomlaLMs configuration and enter to the 'Flash server URL' field on 'Conference' tab string: rtmp://xxxxxxx.rtmphost.com/

How do I configure my own FMS installation?
Please install the Flash Media Server and then create the 'jlms_app' folder in the 'applications' folder of the FMS. Unzip JoomlaLMS installation package and then extract 'media_server_application' archive. Copy all the contents of the 'media_server_application' folder to the 'jlms_app' folder and restart your flash media server.

Specify the path to the flash media server (eg. "rtmp://localhost/") as FMS URL in JoomlaLMS back-end Configuration->Conference (and the number of users, e.g. '10'). Please note that for your own FMS installation the number of users is limited either with the server parameters or FMS license so any number can be specified here to limit the number of users entering the video conference at the same time.
